Wedding things, Work things

Hi there!

It has been a loonnggg time since I last wrote. I've been pretty busy with the whole moving into a new place, making lots of wedding crafts, acclimating to new job and just overall being busy.

Two weeks from today I will be getting married to my best friend and the man I love. I'm really excited to come home from work and share a meal with him instead of being lonely in this apartment. I'm excited to be done with wedding things. Though it is nice to craft, it is very stressed out crafting, especially with the time crunch coming. I'm happy to be done spending over $200/month on gas driving to different things, though ultimately, it was our choice, but still. Wedding season is expensive for everyone. I'm so stoked to be going up to Victoria BC for a honeymoon. I'm happy to know a bunch of friends, family, and co-workers/ex-co-workers will be attending and I get to have one party in which I get to see them all and spend some time with them!

Work has been going well! I absolutely adore my co-workers. They're pretty great. I work in the Etch Department and have several other process engineers I get to work with. 3 of which are around my age, which makes it a lot easier to ask questions and ask for help/advice. I'm really blessed to have such helpful co-workers who are willing to answer my questions and help me get on my feet. I was really excited as yesterday I got my first pay check for working for 3 weeks, and it is just nice to have income and not stress as much as I have in the past with money.

I was really blessed last week to have a beautiful bridal shower put on by my mom and mother-in-law-to-be. It was great to see them work together as a team. My mom had made all the yummy food, and June did all of the games and such. It was fun and I loved getting to see all the beautiful ladies and catch up about how they are doing in life and such. I just with I could be a better friend to everyone, but realize that life and being caught up in what you do can really separate you from people. Maintaining friendships takes work, especially when you live far away. I have made the majority of my friends by living next door/on campus with them, and therefore became friends. Keeping friends is the challenge. I just hope I can truly seek out and strive to be a better friend with all of the transitions we are all going through.

Regardless, this is just me saying, I'm okay, hanging in there, excited to get into a routine and be married. It is stressful, but I know that the love and support and help from friends and family will be enough to get us through it.

Thanks for reading,
M.E.
