Breath of Relief
I got to find out my grades from all of my midterms last week. Though I was horribly worried whilst studying for them and my O-Chem one got put on the back burner, I managed to do decently well in all of them! (Minus the O-Chem). I got an 86 on my Engineering Quiz and an 84 on my Physics Exam. (I'd like to point out this is the first Physics Exam I've ever passed.. as in , not failed.. higher than a 69.) And for O-Chem, when I walked out of there, I felt I would've been happy if I got a 50% because I seriously didn't know the material at all.. and I managed to get a 78% and later was told by a friend that if I do better on the final, that will replace my lowest midterm score, so since on my other midterm I got 100%, as long as I get a B or something, I'm set. :) A's and B's this quarter.. well.. more like.. one A and 3 B's.. but maybe a miracle will happen? :]
I'm on duty at the desk tonight from 9-10pm and am holding the phone from 7 til then. Tomorrow my family is going to come by and pick me up/ come see my room and I'll follow them to my Aunt and Uncle's for our Thanksgiving dinner and such. I'm thinking I'll try and do as much of my physics and math homework that I can do tonight before I have to leave.. I kinda wanna just get the Physics out of the way, so it is one less book to take home.. (it's heavier than the MTH 306 book) I'm really looking forward to seeing my other half/ best friend/soul mate Stacia. :) We're gonna go bowling for old times sake and since I just took my residents out bowling.. she better watch out for I'm actually able to bowl 100's now. :] I also will *hopefully* get to see my friends in Salem and go to Nerd Night. I miss them and their sense of humor greatly. And also I hope to see some church friends from Salem also. I miss my girls from there. They're all such a great encouragement and support that I find myself needing a lot of lately... However, I think it's getting better. I still love and miss them dearly though.
Last night while I was trying to go to bed, I started thinking about things I needed, or things that would be really nice to have, for my Christmas Wish List. I didn't want to write it down, so I put it in a notepad file on my phone. I'm gonna put it on here too. Just in case.. you know.. you want to get me a present or something. Hahaha. I also just want to express how much of a practical person I am. Sentimental stuff is cool too, but I'd rather a gift have a purposeful function than just to sit and look pretty or be something I rarely use. So that way, everytime I use it, I'd think of the person I got it from.
Wish List
- Mattress Topper (yes my bed was quite uncomfortable last night)
- Mini Vacuum
- Rubber Boots (my socks are soggy all the time when I come home.. :[ )
- Journal
- Books.. :]
- Jacket (similar to my red one.. maybe black)
- Shoes (Keds, Vans, or another pair of boots that don't soak up the rain)
- Jeans that fit (I'm wondering when I got taller because I don't remember this. I thought I stopped growing.)
Anyways, I should probably go eat or be productive before duty tonight, but since I only have to hold desk hours from 9-10 I'm basically quite free... in a sense. I just don't think I'll get much done. Maybe I'll go sit in a lounge and drink tea and read a book or work on that hailstorm poem.. hmm. I decide to be indecisive. :)
Have a Happy Thanksgiving.
